The Korg D1 stage piano is a lightweight, compact instrument equipped with a high-quality weighted RH3 keyboard. Thanks to its compact design, it is ideal for daily practicing or for your live performance. A selection of 30 sounds, especially very brilliant piano sounds, ensure that you can optimally cover all musical areas. Furthermore, the Korg D1 offers many additional functions such as a metronome, a layer function, touch control function, effects and much more. A music stand and a sustain pedal are already included in the scope of delivery.
The stage piano has a weighted keyboard with hammer action (RH3). This faithfully reproduces the touch of a concert grand piano. The weighting of the RH3 keyboard is heavier in the low notes and lighter in the high notes, which ensures a natural touch.
The D1 contains a total of 30 instrument sounds. The selection ranges from several piano types to electric piano, organ, strings, clavi and viraphon. The piano sounds realistically simulate the damper resonances and room sounds produced by the resonance of strings when the damper pedal of an acoustic piano is pressed. 6 different electric piano sounds in the Korg D1 cover a wide range of popular electric piano sounds, including typical sounds of pop and soul music from the 60s and 70s.
A metronome integrated in the D1 can be called up at the touch of a button. For an even greater variety of sounds, simply press 2 sound buttons simultaneously in layer mode to layer two sounds on top of each other. and To adapt the keyboard to your own playing feel, the D1's touch control function allows you to set 5 different velocities. and To make optimum use of the stage piano in live performance, it has standard LINE
Korg D1A great musical instrument for performing and recording in the studio. Among all digital pianos at this price point, this keyboard most closely resembles an acoustic piano keyboard. I was looking for a good weighted keybed action keyboard, and I chose this after after seeing that it's the same keybed used in the Korg Grandstage and Korg Kronos flagship products. I was looking for a relatively lightweight midi controller/stage piano with a high quality action. You would be surprised how few things fit this category as premium weighted actions are often much heavier than their budget counterparts. I'd previously enjoyed playing the RH3 action before in other Korg products so really it was a toss up between this and the Yamaha CP88 which was slightly larger and heavier and almost 4 times the price of the D1. In the end I felt the CP88 was too expensive for what I needed so I went with the D1. It's a nice compact size, an acceptable weight and the sounds are pretty nice, but the addition of midi ports means it's easy to hook up to a sound module like the V3 Piano XXL, another keyboard, or a laptop.
