The Ludwig Classic Maple Pro Beat Set Lemon Oyster is a high-end maple drum kit designed for professional drummers seeking both tonal and visual perfection. Each drum in this shell set is hand-built at Ludwig’s American factory. The set includes a 24" x 14" bass drum, a 13" x 9" tom, and a 16" x 16" floor tom, all finished in a foiled Pink Oyster. Classic Maple drums are made from seven layers of premium maple, resulting in 6 mm-thick shells. Using Ludwig’s RFST (Resonant Free Shell Technology) molding process, the shells offer optimal resonance. Ludwig Weathermaster heads rest on a 45° bearing edge, completing the professional and balanced sound of the Classic Maple series.
The exceptional sound of the Classic Maple Shell Set comes from meticulously crafted shells. The core consists of three cross-glued layers of maple veneer, followed by two inner and two outer layers applied using the RFST molding process. The outer 1.5 mm of the shell is sanded at a 45° angle to form a sharp bearing edge, creating the open, resonant sound character for which Ludwig Classic Maple drums are renowned.
