The Mayones Jabba Classic 4 3-tone Sunburst is a classic 4-string electric bass in the popular offset design, which convinces with an extensive equipment. Two Aguilar AG 4J-70 single coils provide the classic Seventies sound, while the in-house Mayo M-BP2 active electronics with controls for trebles and basses determine the sound of the Jabba Classic 4. Last but not least, the bass from Polish Gdansk offers comprehensive hardware equipment from Schaller and Hipshot in the form of four Ultralite tuners for precise tuning and easy string changes at any time.
For the Jabba, Mayones uses the proven 6-fold screw connection of the maple neck to the alder body to guarantee the most direct resonance transmission possible. The accessibility of the high positions of the 24-flush Pau Ferro fingerboard was deliberately taken into account and comfortably implemented by a special contoured neck heel.
Hipshot Ultralite tuners perform their work at the headstock with surprisingly low weight, providing a well-balanced instrument with outstanding tuning stability. At the other end, an in-house Mayones Mayo Vintage Bridge offers sufficient adjustment possibilities with regard to string position and intonation. Last but not least, the Mayones Jabba Classic 4 is delivered with Schaller Security Locks.
Two Aguilar AG 4J-70 single coils are used in the neck and bar position of the Mayone Jabba Classic 4 3-tone sunburst. The pickups of the Aguilar 70s Era series are wound according to the specifications of classic J-Bass pickups and use Alnico V magnets and AWG42 wire. The result is powerful and articulative highs and growling low-end, which can be individually mixed via separate volume pots.
The active Mayones Mayo M-BP2 2-band electronics provide further possibilities for fine-tuning the sound, enabling precise adjustment of bass and treble using a double-deck potentiometer. If you want to play completely passively, you can also deactivate the electronics via the mini switch and form the passive sound image via the separate tone diaphragm.
