With laminated mahogany back and sides and a laminated spruce top, Ortega's D7CE Acoustic Bass relies on a traditional wood selection that, combined with the 32" medium scale length (812 mm), deliveres a mature sound with a deep low end and balanced brilliance. The mahogany neck featuring a slim profile and 45 mm nut width, sits comfortably in the hand, allowing every bassline to flow effortlessly across the 18-fret rosewood fretboard. A generous cutaway body also makes it easy to explore the higher registers for melodic or solo passages.

MagusPRO/B pickup system

Equipped with the Ortega MagusPRO/B pickup system, the Deep Series D7CE-4 acoustic bass is fully ready for use with a bass amplifier. The pickup impresses with its natural, uncolored reproduction of the instrument's tonal character, while the integrated preamp offers a range of practical features: 3-band EQ ffor precise tone shaping, and a built-in tuner for quick and convenient tuning of the bass guitar. In addition, a phase switch helps to reduce unwanted feedback during live performance. Finally, sealed die-cast tuners on the headstock ensure stable, accurate tuning under all conditions.
