Tama TSP9 Practice Pad 9"

The rebound of this pad is very close to a real snare tuned to med tension. Much more realistic feel then maybe 90% of the competition. At the same time it is not too hard and not too noisy. The 9" size is IMO the perfect size if you need to be able to fit it into a backpack to be carried around - not too small as a 6" but not too big as a 12". But it would not fit stable into a standard snare stand basket - you need to put it on top of something, like a snaredrum or a piece of а hardboard like in my case. It has somewhat thick soft rubberized foam on the bottom which makes it suitable for table tops too. The best judgement for it is that if I make some chops work on the pad, then I can transffer that to the drums straight away, so overall, I think this is one of the better pads on the market at the moment.
