The Tascam Mixcast 4 is a USB mixer for podcasts, streams and content productions with up to four people. Four microphone inputs with switchable 48V phantom power, four separately adjustable headphone outputs and a headset connection provide a practical basis for discussion groups, interviews and live formats.
Recording, mixing and sound editing can be controlled directly on the device via the touchscreen. EQ, compressor, gate, de-esser, noise reduction, reverb effect and automatic level control are available for editing. This means that voices can be processed during recording to make them intelligible and ready for broadcast.
The eight freely assignable trigger pads allow jingles, music, sound effects or prepared contributions to be recorded. Players can be integrated via USB, line-in, Bluetooth or TRRS. The mix-minus function helps to integrate phone calls neatly into podcast or streaming setups.
Recordings can be made directly to SD card or via the computer. With the Tascam Podcast Editor, projects can then be edited, mixed and prepared for publication. This makes the Mixcast 4 particularly suitable for podcasters, streamers, interview formats and small content teams who want to combine recording, mixing and playback in one compact setup.
