The Universal Audio Apollo Twin MkII Quad Desktop Audio Interface is a revised version of the popular Apollo Twin. The new Apollo Twin mkII delivers numerous technical improvements, which mainly concern two features: Sound quality and handling during recording and playback. UniversalAudio presents the new ApolloTwinmk II with next-generation audio converters. Equipped with Universal Audio UNISON technology, the Apollo Twin mkII enables virtually latency-freerecording in conjunction with the UAD-2-poweredplug-ins, including authenticemulations of famous studio equipment from Neve, Studer, Ampex, Manley, Fender and many more. The DSP technology of the Apollo Twin mk II offers major advantages over conventional VSTs of the DAW: The processing power of the processor cardsrelieves the audio computer and delivers excellent audio quality.
Recording studio in desktop format
The included UAD-2 plug-ins turn any recording setup into a virtual studio with the analog sound of famous studio classics. The "Realtime Analog Classics" UAD plug-in suite is included with the Apollo Twin mkII - that means: The virtual studio racks are packed with emulations of legendary studio equipment such as UA 610-B Tube Preamp & EQ, the legacy versions of the LA-2A and 1176LN compressors, Pultec EQs and Raw Distortion, Softube Amp Rooms...
Next generation recording workflow
Compared to the original Apollo Twin, the new Apollo Twin mk II offers significantly improved monitoring functions with mute, DIM and ALT switching to a second monitor pair. The new monitor remote control and the integrated talkback microphone are also ideal for use in home studios and project studios - all in all, the improvements make the Apollo Twin mkII the next generation desktop recording tool.
