The Tempest from 512 Audio is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a USB connection. It combines a microphone and a USB audio interface in one unit and can be used straight away on a Mac or PC without installing any drivers (plug-and-play, class-compliant). The Tempest delivers audio data to the computer at a fixed sampling rate of 48 kHz and 24-bit resolution, which is the standard format for video soundtracks – making it ideal for streamers and YouTubers.

What features does the Tempest offer?

The Tempest is fitted with a 34 mm capsule featuring a gold-plated diaphragm. Its design and sonic characteristics are based on the Warm Audio WA-47jr. To keep everything within easy reach, the microphone can be muted at the touch of a button on the front panel, whilst the microphone preamp and headphone output volume can also be adjusted there. The headphone output allows you to monitor the current recording with zero latency, as well as play back recordings and music from your computer.
