With its extraordinary construction, the hand-built Adamas 2087GT-8-G represents the innovation and know-how of U.S. guitar building. Materials such as carbon fibers, Composite and wood accents meet in this high-quality instrument. In addition, the acoustic guitar is equipped with a high-quality Hardware, which enables comprehensive functionality. The ergonomic body is part of the successful concept for which the manufacturer has been known worldwide since the 1960s. The overall appearance is rounded off by the typical precious wood epaulettes that decorate the sound holes. A hardshell case is included in delivery.
Construction and woods
Since the Lyrachord body is equipped with a deep-contour arching, the Gitarre develops a full and distinctly warm sound even with light touches. The combination of the thin carbon fiber top and a special Quintad bracing sorgt for an almost attack and for a long lasting tone. At the same time the two-piece walnut neck with walnut fingerboard convinces with its extremely comfortable playability in all 22 frets.
Hardware and Design
The compensated bridge inlay and the 42.8 mm wide nut are made of bone to ensure that the instrument intonates cleanly over the entire 642 mm scale length. Golden Schaller M6 tuners guarantee a precise tuning of the 6 steel strings and complement the filigree designed headstock in a very tasteful way. Fine maple inlays are worked into the fretboard for orientation. The 11 soundholes are surrounded by multicolored precious wood epaulettes, which contrast with the reversed blue burst finish of the top. This is bordered by a fine composite Rope binding.
Electronics
To make the instrument stage-ready, the manufacturer equips the Adamas 2087GT-8-G with the in-house Ovation OCP1K pickup system. With the help of Preamps, which is inserted into the frame, the output signal can be individually adjusted depending on the type of amplifier. Another practical tool is the integrated tuner, which shows the respective pitch on an LED display.
