Waza Craft Edition of the legendary Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal

With the Boss HM-2W Heavy Metal, the legendary and brutal Chainsaw sound of Swedish death metal returns to the program of the Japanese effect giant after a long absence. As a dignified Waza Craft Edition, the distortion pedal not only comes in the authentic, black-orange look of the original produced from 1983 to 1991, but also delivers its unadulterated sound. A second custom sound mode is also available, which gives the typical HM-2 sounds a modern touch.

Standard mode for the original HM-2 tone

In Standard mode, the HM-2W Heavy Metal delivers the original sound of the black and orange distortion pedal that is inextricably linked to the sound of Swedish death metal. Maximum gain and brutal midrange give every riff and solo the perfect amount of sawing aggression to make its mark in the band. By carefully optimizing the circuitry and components, the Waza Craft HM-2 offers a reduced noise floor and increased level.

Custom mode for modern tones

The Boss HM-2W's Custom mode brings the signature tone character into the modern era, delivering an even more aggressive sound with sharp attack and rich punch. Adjusted low and high mids provide increased definition and sonority, so that even extended range guitars with underground tunings are reproduced precisely.

Color Mix and Waza Craft Buffer

In addition to the distortion control for adjusting the gain, the HM-2W Heavy Metal from Boss' Waza Craft series features the familiar Color Mix EQ, which can be used to adjust the tone in the low and high frequency ranges. High-quality Waza Craft buffers also ensure a particularly transparent and clear sound in bypass.
