DW Design Frequent Flyer ShellSet Tobacco Burst

The DW Design Frequent Flyer Set Tobacco Burst is a four-piece travel drum kit made from maple, constructed using the HVLT method. The Design series combines excellent craftsmanship with outstanding sound quality. The shells are constructed using the HVLT method, with 1/32” thick plies of North American maple arranged in a specific orientation to form a high-performance combination that offers a comprehensive tonal spectrum, attack, punch and tonal versatility. The modern DW Turret Lugs are a scaled-down version of the famous round DW Lugs; they offer excellent handling and optimum tuning stability. DW’s patented STM™ (Suspension Tom Mount) system allows the toms to vibrate freely, enabling maximum resonance whilst keeping the drum securely in place. To give drummers greater control over their sound, DW has developed the patented True-Pitch® rod system. The tuning lugs feature a 5 mm thread instead of the 12/24 thread, which is standard on most other manufacturers’ drums. DW heads, manufactured by REMO, give the DW Design Series an optimal sound with a balanced character.
