The Piston Honda MkIII is an oscillator module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. The oscillator is a dual morphing wavetable oscillator with waveshaping audio inputs and Unison Detune. The three sliders create a waveform for each oscillator to play from the internal "cube" of 16-bit waveforms (8 waveforms across each axis, for a total of 512) transformed at full resolution in all three dimensions with full CV control across each dimension (positive and negative voltages are accepted). In addition, each oscillator can alternatively act as a nonlinear waveshaper, processing a dedicated audio input over the selected wavetable with voltage controlled drive. When this input is running in normal oscillator mode, it provides Thru-Zero frequency modulation instead. Added to this is a preset manager and an orange display for the current waveform and for the edit menu.
Both oscillators have full user control over frequency and modulation. The second oscillator's frequency controls can be linked to the first, and an output mix is provided for the largest sounds possible with the fewest patch cables. Each oscillator also has its own slave unison detune oscillator.
Waveforms are selected from the internal memory of eight collections: additive harmonic structures, hard LFSR progressions, and restored waveforms inspired by classic synthesizers. You can also load wave data (16-bit WAV) via the card slot on the front panel. This is compatible with files created with Synthesis Technology's WaveEdit.
The voltage-controlled preset manager stores eight presets that can be recalled at any time under manual or CV control. The Preset Manager features a morphing mode that smoothly transitions from one preset to another, selectable for waveform settings only or for all knobs on the panel.

It really shines when you modulate the wave shape parameters, but generally sounds great all round. I'm only brushing the surface, but can't wait to gain a deeper understanding of what it can do.
