The Radial Catapult RX4L is a modular audio snake system that allows four analog or AES audio channels to be transmitted over a single, shielded Cat 5 cable. The Catapult allows installers to take advantage of pre-wired networks to connect one room to another. At the same time, live sound engineers benefit from the low cost of the Cat-5 cable for return or cross-stage snakes.
The modular catapult is available in six configurations with three input and three output modules. Each input module contains four XLR-F inputs, four XLR-M outputs and two Neutrik Ethercon™ outputs. Each output module has one Ethercon input, one throughput and two sets of four XLR-M outputs. Modules can be ordered without transformers for sub-networks or to transmit AES digital signals; with microinsulation transformers to provide split outputs for FOH, monitors or a recording system; or with line level isolation transformers to eliminate system noise. Ground lift switches are provided at each end of the Ethernet cable connection to prevent humming and humming due to ground loops.
The Catapult RX4L is a receiving module with 4 isolated XLR-M outputs with line level (-20 to+15dB) and a set of pass XLR-Ms.
