The stylish desktop device is compatible with Macs and Windows 2 PCs* with integrated Thunderbolt interface and greatly expands the processing capabilities of Apollo interfaces and other UAD-2 DSP systems with its computing power. The UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt OCTO Ultimate 6 contains 95 UA-developed plug-ins from the world famous UA catalog, which includes Ampex, Lexicon, Neve, Manley, Fairchild, Studer, Fender, SSL and many more.Universal Audio's DSP team worked closely with the manufacturers of the original hardware to develop the UAD plug-ins - always using the exact circuit diagrams, the best equipment and the most experienced ears. This guarantees you the full warmth of classic analog equipment in your DAW. The UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt OCTO Ultimate 6 has the massive processing power of eight SHARC processors and the Thunderbolt technology used delivers lower latency for the plug-ins compared to FireWire800.
