The Yamaha THR 30 IIA Acoustic Guitar Amplifier offers a wide range of effect combinations and modulations, as well as a connection for vocal microphones and a headphone jack. In cooperation with Line6, it is also possible to connect wirelessly with the optionally available Line6 Relay G10T transmitter, so that you can enjoy unlimited freedom of movement while playing. An integrated rechargeable battery also allows for untethered use outside of the rehearsal room or your own four walls. In addition, an aux-in jack and Bluetooth function allow playback from external sources. With its lightweight construction of just 6.4 kg and its small dimensions, the compact sound miracle is extremely comfortable to transport.
In order to convey a natural sound, the manufacturer equips the THR 30 IIA with a total of five different modules that can be easily selected via a potentiometer and each has a status LED. By means of a dedicated tone / blend control, the intensity can be easily adjusted between "Dry" and "Wet". A 3-band equalizer allows for precise mixing of bass, mid and treble frequencies. In addition, three effect types consisting of chorus, chorus / delay and delay can be switched on and combined as desired with a short / long reverb, so that numerous combinations are possible, which the player can save in 5 memory locations. For microphones, or an additional instrument, the amplifier is equipped with a convenient combo jack, which has a separate volume and a reverb pot .
For the output of external sources, the Yamaha THR 30 IIA Acoustic Guitar Amplifier is also well prepared. An aux-in socket for 3.5 mm stereo jack plugs as well as Bluetooth provide the option of convenient playback. Pre-saved data can be imported or exported directly via a USB connection, so that sound combinations can be saved afterwards and the internal memory slots can be used as desired. To use the device without cables, the wireless-ready function allows a direct connection to the optionally available Line6 Relay G10T transmitter. For a maximum sound experience, a 3-stage stereo imager can be used to create a wider soundstage. In addition, the amplifier includes an integrated tuner and a headphone jack.
A light weight and exceptionally sturdy case
Like the other models from the Yamaha THR series, the THR 30 IIA also has a very sturdy housing that weighs only 6.4 kg, so that the amplifier is also ideally suited for use on the road. In addition, an integrated rechargeable battery, which can be charged via an accompanying 15-volt AC power supply, provides increased flexibility. The package also includes a Cubase AI Access Code for PC / Mac and a Cubasis LE for iPads and a Quick Guide.
Yamaha THR 30 IIA Acoustic Guitar AmplifierThe amp works great with the app, and I have used just it with a mic and my acoustic for a couple bar gigs. It went very well and was perfectly adequately loud enough for a small solo bar gig. It's a little bit more pricy than other similiarly powered acoustic amps but it's definitely a lot less offensive-looking on the shelf in the living room. It's also a lot more versatile than any alternatives I can think of - I use it almost daily as a bluetooth speaker. I'd highly recommend if you have a little more cash to splash.
