The Beat Bars E&F2M is a compact tool that converts expression pedal and footswitch inputs into MIDI/USB data. The E&F2M connects to the computer via USB and is powered at the same time; the pedals are connected on the other side. With the free MIDI configuration tool, which is available for MacOS, Windows and Linux, it is possible to define on which channel, which controller with a definable range of values actions are executed. This makes it easy to use the EX2M and an expression pedal to control a cutoff parameter in Ableton Live or the effects mix in the DJ software. At the same time, this combination can be used to start and stop the DAW via footswitch or to (de)activate recording.
