EVENTIDE Blackhole Pedal

With minimal signs of wear

Reverb effects pedal based on the Eventide Blackhole algorithm

With the Eventide Blackhole Pedal, the New Jersey-based effects manufacturer is offering the coveted Blackhole algorithm from its DSP4000 and H8000 rack units for the first time in a handy effects pedal for electric guitar, electric bass or synthesiser. Consequently, the pedal delivers the vast Blackhole sound spectrum, ranging from superbly rendered classic reverb rooms to an ethereal soundscape featuring spherical modulation and an infinite reverb tail. In addition to the Feedback control, which determines the length of the reverb tail, the Eventide Blackhole pedal is equipped with the Gravity control for switching between normal decay and inverse decay. Whilst the Freeze footswitch freezes the reverb tail on demand and allows it to ring out indefinitely, the Active footswitch offers both the classic latching mode and a momentary function, which activates the effect only whilst the switch is pressed. Once you’ve found the sounds you want, you can save them to one of five memory slots. Last but not least, the Eventide Blackhole pedal offers MIDI control and a USB port for firmware updates or connection to the Eventide Device Manager Editor software.
