The OBSBOT Tail 2 is a professional 4K PTZR live production camera for live streams, events, church services, education, sport, virtual productions, podcasts and multi-camera set-ups. It combines UHD 4K at 60fps, an innovative PTZR design, AI Tracking 2.0, powerful zoom and versatile connectivity in a compact camera system.
With HDMI, SDI, USB-C, Ethernet, RS-232, NDI HX3 and FreeD, the Tail 2 can be flexibly integrated into modern production environments. This makes it ideal for professional workflows where image quality, control and reliable tracking are crucial.
The new PTZR lens design enables a 90° lens rotation for seamless shooting in landscape and portrait orientations. This allows you to create high-quality content for traditional live streams, social media, stage productions and mobile formats without the hassle of repositioning the camera.
The integrated 3-axis stabilisation and automatic levelling ensure smooth, precise images and reduce the need for manual corrections during production.
The enhanced AI Tracking 2.0 tracks people, groups, animals and objects with exceptional precision. With Only Me, a selected subject remains in focus even when other people enter the frame.
The intelligent Auto-Zoom automatically adjusts the frame, enabling professional close-ups, half-body and full-body shots. In addition, the Tail 2 recognises over 30 animal species and more than 200 types of objects for flexible tracking scenarios.
The 1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor delivers detailed images at up to 4K 60fps and 1080p 120fps. The 12-element optical system, 5x optical zoom and 12x hybrid zoom enable clear close-ups even from a greater distance.
Thanks to All-Pixel PDAF, Dual Native ISO, improved low-light performance, a 2 μm pixel sensor and AI noise reduction, the image remains clean and in focus even in challenging lighting conditions.
With integrated NDI HX3 support, the Tail 2 is suitable for both wired and wireless IP productions. Video feeds can be connected, controlled and monitored in real time.
For virtual productions, the camera supports FreeD. RS-232 enables the implementation of professional control environments, including daisy-chain set-ups with multiple cameras.
The built-in 5000 mAh battery enables up to 5 hours of recording and live streaming. The Tail 2 can be flexibly controlled and integrated into multi-camera workflows via Wi-Fi 6, WebUI, OBSBOT Start, OBSBOT Live, OBSBOT Centre and OBSBOT Talent.
