With the Takamine TDP561 Custom, limited to only 120 pieces, the traditional Japanese manufacturer presents a versatile instrument. Thanks to the mid-sized NEX design with cutaway, the acoustic guitar produces warm bass and clear midrange frequencies and can be comfortably picked up to the highest frets. Externally, the guitar impresses with a thin high-gloss finish and a black finish that is very tastefully accentuated by multi-ply
In order for the instrument to develop a very midrange-rich yet warm tone, the construction consists of a solid spruce top and a solid Sapele back, while the sides are laminated. This way, both pickings and strummings come into their own perfectly and are enriched with a pleasant saturation. At the same time, a round mahogany neck with a 'C' profile and a coarse-grained rosewood fingerboard provide a pleasant playability in all 20 frets.
The typical headstock features chrome-plated die-cast tuners for easy and precise tuning of the 6 steel strings. A two-piece bridge inlay and a finely notched 42,5 mm nut ensure a clean intonation on the whole 644 mm scale. To accentuate the black finish, the manufacturer trims the body and fretboard with cream bindings that perfectly match the multi-stripe soundhole rosette. Furthermore, the top is equipped with a black pickguard.
Built into the Takamine TDP561 Custom acoustic guitar is an in-house pickup system that features a comprehensive CT4B II side preamp. This includes a 3-band equalizer via which the output signal can be individually adjusted. In addition, the preamp is equipped with a tuner that displays the pitch via individual LEDs.
