Tascam presented with the Tascam AE-4D an exquisite AES/EB converter that can convert up to four AES/EBU signals into four Dante audio channels and vice versa. The input sampling rate converters support resolutions up to 96 kHz / 24 bit and use balanced XLR sockets for AES/EB inputs and outputs. DSP Functions such as faders or the muting of inputs and outputs are also on board. As part of the "Dante Compact Processor Series" from Tascam is suitable for Dante/AES67 networks , making it suitable for public facilities, broadcast stations, recording studios or exclusive residential environments, while additional inputs and outputs for microphone/line or AES/EBU signals can be added and combined as desired.
It also comes with two different software applications for MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android that can be used to control it AE-4D remotely . Both the DCP Connect software for configuration and the EZ Connect app for end users are easy to use. In addition, all Dante Compact Processor Series models can be powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) or an optional AC adapter . If two units are mounted side by side in a rack, it is possible to loop the power supply through to the second unit so that only one AC adapter is required.
