The Tascam TM-60 is a lightweight condenser microphone that requires no phantom power but is powered by a single AA battery. Tascam TM-60
The TM-60 uses a single AA battery as power supply, which is inserted into the microphone. This means that the recorder does not need to supply phantom power and the microphone does not load the recorder's battery. To extend battery life, you can turn off the microphone when not in use.
