The Yamaha YC73 combines a professional stage keyboard and a high-quality organ in one instrument. Three different technologies are available for sound generation: Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) for authentic organ sounds, AWM for acoustic pianos, grand pianos and electric pianos, and FM synthesis for synthesizer sounds and additional organ tones. The BHS (Balanced Hammer Standard) keyboard developed by Yamaha offers a balanced playing feel and is particularly appealing to discerning pianists. Thanks to the intuitive user interface, the core functions of the Yamaha YC73 can be accessed quickly and directly in live performance.

Three different FM organ modes can be controlled via drawbars. You also have the option of creating classic transistor organ sounds with their distinctive character.
The Yamaha YC73 offers a versatile selection of high-quality tones for stage and performance. The piano section includes the renowned Yamaha CFX concert grand and the U1 upright piano. In the electric piano section, the instrument delivers legendary sound characters such as the Yamaha CP sound, a Real FM electric piano and a ’78 RD.
The Yamaha YC73 uses VCM technology to generate three high-quality tonewheel organ variants with a vintage vibe. Furthermore, the stage keyboard offers customizable parameters such as key click, pickup crosstalk, rotary speaker speed and more. It also includes the authentic sound of a classic rotary speaker, with separate control over the rotor speeds for the treble and bass speakers.
The Yamaha YC73 has 9 drawbars, which correspond exactly to what you would expect from a high-quality organ in terms of control range and resolution. Adjustable color LEDs make it easy to distinguish between upper and lower ranges in split mode.
The integration of a USB interface into a stage piano expands connectivity and data exchange between the instrument and other devices, especially computers. It enables seamless transmission of MIDI data and audio streams in real time, without the need for an additional audio interface. This opens up new possibilities for recording, editing and composing for musicians and producers. With a USB connection, users can control software instruments, record their performances directly and play software synthesizers in real time. This enhances creative flexibility and efficiency by simplifying and expanding the workflow.
