1967 Telecaster: Timeless looks, legendary sound!

With the Fender Custom Shop 1967 Telecaster NOS, the Fender Custom Shop presents an authentic interpretation of a late-sixties Telecaster. The striking Inca Silver finish combines the classic look of the late 1960s with a timeless metallic appearance, whilst high-quality tonewoods and carefully selected Custom Shop components authentically capture the characteristic Telecaster sound. Thanks to the lightweight ash body and the bolt-on quarter-sawn maple neck, the instrument offers the ideal conditions for comfortable playability and excellent tuning stability. Featuring hand-wired ’67 single-coil pickups, the Telecaster delivers a magnificent sound with brilliant highs and that timeless twang which has been the ideal for many guitarists for over 75 years. The 1967 Telecaster also comes with a hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity!

Authentic 1960s playing feel

The Late ’60s “C” neck profile is modelled on the original instruments of that era and, together with the 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and the 6105 frets, ensures a modern and comfortable playing feel. A bone nut, the classic 648 mm scale length and the historic ’61 Telecaster bridge round off the traditional design and ensure a direct response and excellent intonation.

Hand-Wound '67 Telecaster Single Coils

Two Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound '67 Single Coil Telecaster pickups deliver an authentic vintage tone. They provide the typical Telecaster character with brilliant highs, defined mids and a precise response. The electronics, featuring a 3-way switch as well as volume and tone controls, remain true to the historic original and are housed on the Tele-Control plate.
