The Fender Quantum HD 2 is a modern audio interface for anyone who values clean-sounding recordings, intuitive operation and reliable performance, whether at home or in a project studio. Two high-quality microphone preamps, a fast USB-C connection and a well-designed monitoring section make it a reliable tool for songwriting, recording and mixing.

At the heart of the unit are two digitally controlled microphone preamps with up to 75 dB of gain. This means they handle dynamic microphones just as confidently as quiet ribbon microphones or sensitive condenser microphones. Noise levels remain pleasantly low, even at high gain settings. Guitars and basses can be recorded directly via the front-panel instrument inputs, without the need for an external DI box.
The 32-bit conversion and sampling rates of up to 192 kHz ensure that transients are reproduced cleanly and that there is sufficient headroom for dynamic performances. The result is a transparent, uncoloured sound that lends itself well to further processing.
On the front panel is a large colour display with clear level indicators and status information. The central encoder handles several tasks: volume, gain and menu navigation. It quickly feels intuitive and works even when the mouse is on a break.
The auto-gain function is particularly handy in everyday use. Press a button, play or sing briefly, and the interface adjusts the input level appropriately. No guesswork, no clipping on the first take.

The Fender Quantum HD 2 offers a balanced monitor output as well as a headphone output. Monitoring is low-latency and clear, whether during recording or editing. The software allows you to flexibly adjust routing, levels and the headphone mix.
Optical ADAT inputs and outputs are also available. This allows the interface to be easily expanded with additional channels at a later date, without having to rethink the setup.
The Fender Quantum HD 2 isn’t just designed for microphones and guitars; it also works well in a hybrid setup. The DB-9 connector on the rear panel provides full-featured MIDI in and out ports. Synthesisers, drum machines or a master keyboard can be connected directly, without the need for an additional MIDI interface on your desk. The timing remains stable, even during more complex sessions.
There’s also an S/PDIF input and output section, which is also accessible via the rear DB-9 socket. Ideal if you want to integrate external converters, digital effects units or an additional preamp without going the analogue route.
Thanks to its class-compliant operation, the Quantum HD 2 works not only with computers, but also with tablets and smartphones. Ideal for mobile recording, sketching out songs on the go or small live set-ups. The stable USB-C connection ensures reliable data transfer and low latency.
