With the PRS Custom 24 10-Top Tobacco Sunburst, the Maryland premium guitar maker continues the tradition of the model that has been firmly established since the 1985 NAMM Show. Equipped with a solid flamed maple top in 10-top quality, PRS 85/15 humbuckers and the typical PRS tremolo, this electric guitar sets both optical and tonal highlights and impresses with flawless workmanship.
For the construction of the Custom 24 Tobacco Sunburst Burst, the guitar builders at Paul Reed Smith use only selected woods that make the sound experience perfect. For example, selected mahogany is used for the body, while the solid flamed maple top in sublime 10-top quality comes up with a characterful and even flame. The glued mahogany neck offers extremely smooth playing characteristics with its flat pattern-thin profile. On the rosewood fingerboard, traditional bird inlays provide optimal orientation between the 24 frets.
For the electrical tone conversion, the PRS Custom 24 uses two PRS 85/15 TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) humbuckers, which were developed by Paul Reed Smith himself. These pickups convince by the optimal tuning of inductance and capacitance of the coil winding with a clear sound, whose extended bass and treble spectrum offers the perfect basis for classic and modern sounds, from warmly sparkling clean over singing overdrive to pressing riffs. The typical 5-way switch calls up multifaceted tones for the realization of musical expression.
The equipment of the Tobacco Sunburst is completed by high-quality hardware from our own house. On the body side the strings are held by the proven PRS Gen III tremolo, which convinces with smooth handling and high functionality and offers a comfortable support for the hand thanks to rounded edges. At the headstock the strings run with a straight pull from the nut to the PRS Phase III locking tuners. These guarantee a high tuning stability even with frequent vibrato use and facilitate the string change significantly. The PRS Custom 24 is delivered in a noble PRS case, which offers the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
