Mayones relies on a mahogany body with a wide cut Cutaways and a flowing neck heel to provide access to the highest positions of the ebony fingerboard. The bolt-on, five-piece neck made of wenge and purpleheart (amaranth) also sits comfortably in the hand with its flat D-profile, so that every riff or solo comes naturally. In addition, fluorescent Luminlay side dots on the fingerboard flank ensure unhindered navigation between the 24 extra jumbo frets made of stainless steel. The tone conversion of the Duvell Elite 6 is handled by Mayones TKO by Bare Knuckle humbuckers, which were specially developed by the English pickup manufacturer for Mayones guitars and the needs of contemporary rock and metal. While the neck pickup with Alnico V magnets delivers a clean and open tone for multi-faceted clean sounds and singing Overdrive, the ceramic humbucker on the bridge impresses with a tight sound. Even at high gain and low tunings, every note is presented precisely and assertively. A treble bleed circuit on the volume control also preserves the treble when the volume is reduced.
