Powerful sound for PA, monitoring and flexible applications
User-friendliness, quality and performance characterise the Opera 12 loudspeaker from dB Technologies. Not only its simple and elegant appearance, which blends in very well with any environment, but also the technology and its features are convincing in every respect.
Flexible set-up, secure installation and easy transport
Multifunctional housing is the keyword here when it comes to set-up and installation: thanks to the 36 mm flange, the speaker can not only be mounted on stands as standard, but can also be positioned horizontally on the floor. The bevelled edge at the rear makes it perfect for monitoring. However, the speaker is also very suitable for flying applications, as there are M10 rigging points on both the back and the top. There is also the option of mounting via U-brackets on trusses and walls.
No matter which position you choose: The low weight and the 3 built-in handles make work much easier, while the robust plastic housing with front grille protects against external influences even under extreme conditions.
Cabinet drawing with dispersion angles, horn design and monitor positioning
The sound is also affected, as the special construction around the 1" tweeter ensures wide coverage of the audience. The 12" woofer provides plenty of bass. In combination with the built-in Class-D amplifier, which is controlled by the DSP, you get a full 600 watts (1200 watts peak), a crystal-clear, punchy sound and enough power even for medium-sized events.
A look at the back reveals which features are also available. Firstly, there is the input section, consisting of 2 combo sockets (XLR/jack), each with its own volume control and line/mic switch. The second is an XLR output with a link/mix out switch. What is interesting and special about this Opera series, however, is the main section, which allows you to select a suitable sound for all common situations. The rotary control is used to switch between various presets such as "Club", "Vocal" and "Playback" which, for example, provide more bass or create transparency in the treble range. Not to be forgotten are the "Wedge" modes, which can be used when the loudspeaker is laid down.
No matter what the user chooses, this speaker can cope with any environment!
