The EVH Wolfgang WG Standard QM (Cherry Sunburst) is a 6-string Electric Guitar from the Standard Series, but the Quilted Maple variants all sport beautiful tops. The Standard Quilted Maple has a Basswood body with an eye-catching Quilted Maple top. The screwed Maple neck has the typical "Wolfgang" profile, whilst the Maple fingerboard offers comfortable playability, so that even the most virtuosic riffs and techniques can be easily played. 2x EVH Wolfgang humbuckers provide a burning sound that keeps its contours even with the most extreme distortion to reproduce every note precisely. The Standard Exotic is equipped with a Floyd Rose Special Double Locking Tremolo, which inserts even the most brute applications of the Whammy Bar without any detuning.

Couldn’t be happier with the Wolfgang standard. Nothing needs to be upgraded, the pickups are exceptional, as good as my Duncan’s in other guitar. The fit and finish is perfect, the floyd is durable, the build is solid. I love the quilted top. The headstock looks a bit odd but the functionality of it is flawless. The neck is smooth and fast, like a fender but with a compound radius board which is a joy to play. I’ve barely put it down, I bought it as a decent backup to my main Strat but it is quite clearly becoming my number one, I just love playing it and it sounds perfect. The next model up is twice as much but comes with stainless steel frets and is built in a more costly factory. If I had the money for the higher end model I would be torn between buying that or two of the standard, genuinely it’s a gig ready tool which doesn’t look as fancy as some guitars but is far more playable than any I’ve tried.
