The Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V Rosewood, Olympic White is a 5-String Bass Guitar from Fender’s 2012 American Standard Series.
The Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V keeps its trademark sleek looks and versatility with its distinctive offset waist contour body design and narrow neck. The American Std Jazz is constructed using a lightweight solid Alder body dressed in a Polyurethane Finish and a Modern C Shaped Maple neck topped with a 20 Fret Rosewood fingerboard. The addition of the 5th String on this Jazz V allows bassists more versatility over their instrument, adding a powerful Low-B to their grooves. Fender’s factory American Standard Alnico V Single-Coil pickups of its forerunner have been replaced with a pair of Fender Custom Shop ’60s Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, providing a brighter treble and richer midrange. Fender’s famous tone of the 1960’s, the decade in which the Fender Jazz was introduced, has proven extremely popular amongst Fender players and enthusiasts.
This particular Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V model comes complete with Chrome hardware, and 4-ply scratch plate over an Olympic White finish.
