The Fender Player II Jazzmaster RW Rallye Orange is one of the new offset models from the Player Series II and delivers the unique vintage sound of the late 1950s and 1960s. Furthermore, the electric guitar has been enhanced with modern features to ensure the highest possible level of comfort without losing any of the iconic Jazzmaster charm. The characteristic mid-range-emphasised Jazzmaster twang and prominent treble are delivered by two Player Series Alnico 5 Jazzmaster single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions. Naturally, both pickups are fitted with the typical Jazzmaster pickup covers in Aged White, which really bring out the full vintage character. The Player II Jazzmaster features an alder body and a four-bolt maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The Modern ‘C’ neck profile and the 9.5-inch fingerboard radius ensure ease of play when it comes to fast finger changes, whilst the offset body design allows for an ergonomically comfortable playing position.
The Player II Jazzmaster RW Rallye Orange comes with two Player Series Alnico 5 Jazzmaster single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions, delivering that crisp Jazzmaster sound. A 3-way switch allows both pickups to be selected individually or simultaneously, whilst a master volume and master tone control provide volume and tone adjustment. The dense, mid-range-heavy sound is complemented by clear, prominent highs, making the Player II Jazzmaster a unique instrument for genres such as blues or surf rock, whilst also being popular with experimental musicians in more niche genres such as shoegaze, grunge or alternative rock in general.
The highlight of the Player II Jazzmaster is the vintage-style floating tremolo, which can be used for subtle vibrato nuances or stronger accents. The pop-in vintage-style Jazzmaster tremolo arm stands out for its practical length, making it easy to operate quickly whilst playing the guitar. Other hardware features include the Fender ClassicGear tuning machines, the Jazzmaster bridge with Mustang saddles, and the classic headstock with the ‘F’ logo.
