Band-in-a-Box 2026 brings numerous improvements and over 60 new features compared to version 2025. Particularly striking is the modernised user interface with redesigned toolbars, windows and workflows. The new side toolbar provides quick access to track selection, the MultiPicker library and key workspaces. The Multi-View function allows multiple windows to be displayed as clearly organised panels. Another new feature is AI-Notes, an AI-powered function for transcribing polyphonic audio files into MIDI. This allows instruments such as bass, drums, guitar, piano or vocals to be analysed from audio files, played back as MIDI and displayed as notation. In addition, the DAW plug-in and RealBand 2026 have been updated with improvements to the workflow and audio engine.
The new AI-Notes feature transcribes polyphonic audio material into MIDI. It can analyse entire audio files or individual instrument groups such as drums, bass, guitars, piano or vocals.
