AMA Publishing House The Junior Drummer's Bible

Simplified drum notation for 5 to 10 year old students

This book The Junior Drummer's Bible contains the notes and exercises in simplified drum notation collected by John Trotter in his many years of work with five to ten-year-old students. Therefore, only grooves and rudiments with half, quarter and eighth notes can be found in the exercises of this book.

The Junior Drummer's Bible shows the basics of stick posture, notation (time signature, note and pause values, dynamics) and the first rudiments. John Trotter deals in detail with popular music styles, including Latin, Samba, Rumba, Rock, Funk, Blues and Swing, Soul, Disco and Punk. The chapters are structured in such a way that each exercise is extended by an additional instrument.
