RDS4 is a problem solver because less sophisticated DMX splitters do not allow RDM-enabled devices to function properly. Leverage the potential of your DMX network while maintaining the ability for RDM devices to communicate with a controller.
Normal mode: The splitter actively repeats the RDM traffic bidirectionally, while the level information goes as usual from the controller to the DMX devices.
Filter mode: With a single keystroke, all RDM traffic can be filtered out for older devices that might flicker when they see the messages on the line.
Backup mode: Another button completely bypasses the intelligent RDM functionality and works like a conventional DMX splitter. Also has 1000V isolation between input and output and between the individual output jacks. This protects your console from overvoltages on the DMX line and also prevents stray voltages from reaching other DMX chains.
1 DMX 5-pin for DMX input. And 4 x 5-pin DMX outputs for more flexibility. Fully compatible with ESTA and USITT standards for DMX512A with RDM and RDM standard ANSI E1.37-1.
Rather than integrating them all into a single daisy chain, each of the RDS4's four outputs can be the start of its own chain, and multiple RDS4s can be connected together as needed.
