Fender Ed O'Brien Stratocaster

This has to be my worst experience ever, and I've bought from many online music retailers. The Guitar arrived from Dv247 with documents to say it had been checked by 3 employees of Fender, and 1 employe of DV247. Upon my daughter tuning it up, and trying unpluged I noticed it had terrible fret buzz on the low E and A string. As it was a Christmas present for her I tried to not let her feel disappointed and quickly said let's plug it in and see how it sounds. What came out was Horrendous, I have never in my life experienced fret buzz like it. So quickly looked at the usual action hieght, pickups height. I raised the action on the saddles and it was still horrendous. I then thought I'll take it for a second opinion to a renowned guitar technician local to me. Where we sat and tried the action raising while plugged in, still no joy. His conclusion was that 8 and 9th frets are slightly higher and should be returned immediately, because you should not expect a £1000 Guitar to arrive after allegedly being checked by 4 people to come in such a poor state. Upon telephoning DV247 this is where it gets even worst, apparently according to Lorraine at DV247 I should not of used the allen key supplied by Fender to raise the action as this invalidates the warranty, and further more I should not have asked a outside guitar technician for a second opinion. My family was all listening whilst i made the handsfree call, and they all said the same. "Never have we ever heard such a rude person dad". So back to the happy and helpful people at Andertons I go, and to date there is still no reply from fender, so good luck if you do decide to purchase. But remember according to Lorraine at DV247 you must never use that little allen key supplied to you by Fender or your warranty is "Void".
My worst experience ever, and feel so sad that my daughter's Christmas was ruined by this.
