Product information - Ibanez Artwood Artwood AC340CE-OPN

Electro acoustic guitar in compact design with high-quality hardware and open-pore finish

The Ibanez Artwood AC340CE-OPN produces a midrange-rich and warm sound thanks to its compact design, which is excellent for fine picking and light strumming. In addition, an X-bracing and a matte open-pore finish provide an almost attack and a long-lasting tone. A flat neck with an "AC" profile works in tandem with a generous cutaway to provide easy access to all 20 frets, which are marked with subtle dot inlays.

Construction and woods

To produce expressive and rich midrange frequencies, the manufacturer uses a solid okoume top and laminated okoume body for the compact Grand Concert build. The low-profile Nyatoh neck features a rough-grained Ovangkol fingerboard that measures 45mm at the nut.

Hardware and Design

Equipped with a bridge inlay and a nut made of bone, the Ibanez AC340-OPN intones cleanly and precisely in all frets. Chrome-plated die-cast tuners guarantee easy tuning of the 6 steel strings, which end in a bridge made of Ovangkol. Visually, the acoustic guitar is rounded off with discreet multi-ply bindings and a multi-stripe soundhole rosette against which a generous tortoise pickguard rests. The in-house Ibanez AEQ-SP2 pickup system is equipped with a tuner and convinces with a clear user interface.
