What else to say ? It's a fne product, period. It does exactly what you'd expect from it and does it well.
The build is both sturdy and compact, and the 2x4 activty LEDs are very convenient.
I needed a more portable solution that the Motu MIDI Express XT I use in the studio, to connect to my 2015 Macbook Pro.
All I can say about that, because I'm very disappointed by late Apple products (as is everyone, it would seem), is that it's a better peripheral than that computer deserves ;-) - really, I have nothing bad to say about it.
This is a solidly built little box and does exactly what I wanted it to do! I have used it to convert MIDI from my Roland Drum Kit and also from my Roland Octopad to a USB input to be read by the program MIDI-OX running on my PC. The program remaps the codes and sends them back to the midiface box to the port of my choice. I then take this output from the midiface box to a light controller and run a light show directly from my drums. It works perfectly. With 4 in/out ports I will have plenty of scope to control lights with several different instruments. The only slight downside is that the led lights are very bright and could do with an adjustable dimmer - a recessed mini screw would do. Otherwise a very good buy.
