The Ibis from Crane Song is an analog stereo/dual mono equalizer with 4 bands and low-cut per channel. A special feature is the name of the controls: note names and frequencies at a glance. This is to be achieved above all by the
"Translation" between musician jargon and sound engineer jargon. Also the bandwidth control has a similar name - the settings range from 0.2 octaves to 4 octaves per band and a boost / cut range of 12 dB.
Besides the useful feature the sound is of course in the foreground. While the exact low-cut filter works excellently in the range of 20 Hz - 150 Hz at 12 or 24 dB per octave, the individual bands provide a wonderful analog sound. In addition, the Ibis EQ - like most Crane Song products - works with Class A switching technology.
