The Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things is the ideal all-rounder for pedalboards and offers some useful switching options. With two True Bypass effect loops, an ABY box and an optional 20db Clean Boost, the Swiss Things is the perfect companion for keeping your extensive effect setups tidy. Both effect loops feature the innovative EQD Flexi switch, which allows classic operation either as a latching switch or as a momentary switch. In addition, the flexible signal router is also suitable for stereo setups via two amplifiers, which can be controlled individually or together. Volume swells via external EXP pedals without signal loss are also possible with the Swiss Things.
The heart of the Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things is undoubtedly its two effect paths, which help to manage larger pedal collections. Loop 1 comes without a buffer amp and is therefore suitable for overdrive, distortion or fuzz pedals, while Loop 2 comes with a buffer and is suitable for incorporating delay, reverb or modulation effects. As a special feature, both effect paths have not only a relay-controlled true bypass, but also the innovative Flexi Switching, which activates the effect path only as long as the footswitch is pressed.
In addition, the Earthquaker Devices Swiss Things is equipped with a separately switchable Clean Boost, which raises the signal by up to 20 dB if desired, without distorting the sound character. Thanks to the Flexi switch, the boost can only be activated at the moment and thus used to emphasize certain song passages. The end of the EQD Swiss Things signal chain is an A/B box that distributes the output signal to two different amplifiers. Output B is not only galvanically isolated by a transformer, but is also equipped with a phase switch so that unwanted background noise or hum loops are suppressed.
