The JoeCo BlackBox BBR64-Dante Recorder is based on the award-winning technology of the well-known and proven BlackBox Recorder. Designed for playback and recording of up to 64 channels, this recorder organizes the audio data (Broadcast WAV format) of Dante networks The BBR64-Dante Recorder was developed to solve the problems of computer-based systems within a live performance environment - the device offers the technician the possibility to make multi-channel and high-quality audio recordings without the help of a computer in this environment. It records up to 64 channels at 44.1kHz and delivers 48kHz in broadcast WAV format, which are backed up to an external USB2 (FAT32) drive.
The recorder is compatible with any DANTE-enabled networks from numerous manufacturers such as Yamaha, MIDAs, DiGiCo and Focusrite (to name but a few). Furthermore, the BBR64-Dante Recorder is able to record 8 analog, balanced line-in channels (audience and atmosphere) simultaneously with 56 Dante channels. The device responds to incoming Dante stream as well as incoming Word clock (which can also be generated by the device itself). The headphone output reproduces the internal mix, which is also reproduced on the high-resolution level meters.
The operation of the BBR64-Dante Recorder is extremely simple and simple - only a network connection, power and a USB2 drive are required before the record button can be pressed. A full-colour LCD and a meaningful display offer the technician everything necessary to keep an eye on all processes. The recorder can be controlled and monitored wirelessly via JoeCoRemote for iPad.
A variety of security features, known from the BlackBox recorder, are also integrated in this device. Safe'n'Sound Recovery restores data even if the power goes out in the middle of the recording. An additional software add-on turns the BBR64-Dante into a BlackBox player and enables synchronous and/or instant playback of playback for a variety of applications.
