Another highlight of the thoroughly successful Grand Auditorium model is the body made of Macassar ebony, which perfectly complements the overall sound with its clear note. The coarse grain of the tonewood, which is divided into four compartments, gives the instrument a noble and symmetrical appearance with its light and dark color gradients, which is further emphasized by a 3.5 mm thin finish and an edge burst finish. The body is bordered by a multi-layered ebony/abalone purfling, which creates a tasteful transition to the other components of the body.
