The DW Collectors Set Maple VLT 333 Candy Black Burst Exotic over Monkey Pod convinces with excellent sound and outstanding workmanship. The six-piece shell set consists of 10"x8" and 12 x9" toms, 14"x14 " and 16"x16 " floor toms as well as a 14"x6,5" snare and the 22"x18" Bass drum. The Black Nickel shell hardware blends perfectly with the Candy Black Burst Exotic over Monkey Pod finish. The shells are made using the VLT 333 construction method, this means that 3x3 wood plies are cross-bonded, this creates an extra focused sound with open dynamics. DW Drums manufactures each shell according to their patented SSC concept (Specialized Shell Construction). This means that each drum is guaranteed to be perfectly glued and perfectly tuned to each other. Each set sounds coherent in itself. The note in which the respective shell vibrates is immortalized in a badge on the inside. True Pitch tension rods with fine thread allow an extremely sensitive tuning of the Remo heads, together with the 2.3 mm True Hoops you get the perfect symbiosis of powerful sound and frequency-rich basic sound.

Maple shells offer proven sound, characterized by warmth and a well-rounded mix of resonance and attack. With the VLT shell, the outermost and innermost plies run vertically instead of in the traditional horizontal configuration. The vertical grain exerts less tension on the shell, allowing it to vibrate more freely. The VLT technology has been developed DW Drums. This 9-ply VLT design has no reinforcing rings and thus has a lower fundamental tone while maintaining maximum resonance and attack. The Bass Drum booms deep and crisp with a warm, natural note and the suspended and floor toms impress with excellent response and with a defined frequency mix.
