Flexible Distortion pedal with noise gate

With the KMA Audio Machines Guardian of the Wurm, the effect forge from Berlin's Karl-Marx-Allee sends a particularly flexible Distortion effect pedal into the race, which provides the popular KMA Wurm metal monster with a guardian in the form of a first-class noise gate. While the Gate comes in a straightforward one knob design, the Distortion comes with wide-ranging options for shaping the perfect metal sound.

Extremely versatile distortion

Inspired by the popular Wurm, the KMA Machines Guardian of the Wurm's Distortion circuit promises tremendous freedom in shaping the sound, without denying its lineage in the raw chainsaw sound of Swedish death metal. Three clipping modes determine the basic sound character, with asymmetrical clipping with less compression and a complete bypass of the clipping diodes available in addition to the silicon setting with classic voicing. The graphic 4-band equalizer offers selectable center frequencies for each fader and up to 8 dB boost or cut to adjust the tone optimally. A practical detail is furthermore the blend control, which mixes the clean signal on demand to get pressure and definition.

Noise Gate with external triggering option

The KMA Guardian of the Wurm's Noise Gate features a fast response to not only reliably eliminate unwanted ambient noise, but also add the necessary articulation and punch to fast-played staccato riffs. While the Gate knob sets the threshold value of the Gates, its response can be adjusted via an internal control. The Guardian of the Wurm's Trigger Input also allows you to control the Gate via an external signal source.

Effects Loop

Last but not least, KMA Machines equips the Guardian of the Wurm with an effects loop that can be used via an optionally available insert cable. Located between Noise Gate and Distortion , the effects loop allows experimental guitarists to create creative guitar sounds.
