Description

Full Dreadnought solid with Sitka spruce top, carcass made of Palisander wood and case

The popular classic Martin D-28 gets a new coat of paint in 2017. Accordingly, it Dreadnought now comes with Vintage mechanics, a Faux Tortoise pickguard and a slightly flatter neck profile for a modern and comfortable playing feel.

Sometimes there is innovation in the details and this is certainly also true for the D-28 (2017) from the renowned noble Martin blacksmith from Nazareth, Pennsylvania. For nearly a century, the legendary D-28 has shaped generations of musicians and has been loved and valued as a fundamental workhorse by music legends such as the Beatles, Hank Wiliams, Johnny Cash, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Reason enough for Martin this legend to miss a makeover and combine the best details from the Prewar and Postwar D-28. In addition, the flat " Modified Low Oval " neck profile provides a modern soft playability and lies supple in the hand.

Martin D-28 Sunburst 2017

In a classic manner, the all-massive Martin D-28 Sunburst one comes out with a Sitka spruce ceiling and a body Palisander . Accordingly, it Dreadnought resonates with tight and defined basses, nuanced and vocal mids, as well as fine silvery and brilliant highs. The balanced sound spectrum has made the D-28 very popular for recordings, because it is not for nothing that the legendary D-28 is considered the most recorded guitar in the world and has certainly shaped our listening habits. This makes it Dreadnought ideal for powerful vocal accompaniment with strumming or flatpicking, while a compensated bridge insert made of bone ensures clean intonation and flat string position. The nickel-plated open mechanics, an antique white binding and the Faux Tortoise pickguard round off the stylish Vintage Look design and last but not least a case is already included.
