Massive top and medium scale lenght
While the solid spruce top and laminated mahogany body provide a sonorous sound with lively response, the shorter 32" (813 mm) scale length of the Ortega D1-5LE-BK Acoustic Bass promises buttery smooth playing characteristics. The large Florentine cutaway also facilitates solo excursions into the high registers of the rosewood fingerboard.
Fishman Isys+ pickup system
With the Fishman Isys+ pickup system, the D1-5LE-BK acoustic bass from Ortega is also ideally equipped for stage use with bass amplifier. Here the pickup convinces with a natural transmission of the bass sound, which can be optimally adjusted thanks to 2-band EQ. A phase switch also helps to avoid unwanted feedback, while the built-in tuner allows for fast and precise tuning of the acoustic bass.
