Fender Vintage-Style Standard Series Strat Tremolo Assembly Chrome

I purchased this tremolo assembly for replacing my Squier Classic Vibe Strat bridge.
The reason is that the standard Squier bridge can not be used with a tension spring underneath the tremolo arm.
The new tremolo block looks fine but the hole for the tremolo arm is drilled in another angle than the other holes on that surface. The tremolo arm is leaning backwards. The tip of the tremolo arm is now 3cm. higher from the scratchplate than in the original situation. I really don't like that and wonder if this was made by Fender specs. (this product was made in Taiwan) I will probably send this one back to the store.

Origineel Fender produkt, past perfect in mijn Squier, behalve voor een Squier (Affinity, Bullet?) met dunne body, de body moet minimaal 43 mm dik zijn, anders komt het gewicht tegen de afschermplaat aan de achterkant aan.
Het gat voor de tremelo is schuin naar achteren geboord, dit is bij diverse Fender gitaren ook zo.
Hierdoor komt de tremelo-arm, wanneer deze geen hoek heeft van 90 graden, veel te ver van de slagplaat te staan. Dit is eenvoudig op te lossen door de tremelo-arm te buigen tot een hoek van 90 graden.
Wanneer je maar 3 veren hebt dan eventueel gelijk de Fender 5-veren set bestellen.
De Fender Tension springs kun je met deze brug ook toepassen, ze vallen er niet doorheen zoals bij de meeste Squiers het geval is.

I bought this as a replacement for the bridge of my Squier Virtual Modified 70's Stratocaster. This bridge is a great upgrade on an otherwise very nice guitar. The only thing I did not like on the VM 70's is that the stock bridge has a very small block and mediocre saddles. This drops right in and is the best upgrade you can have on a Squier VM, Standard or CV series Strat . Fit and finish are perfect: the block is made out of a mystery metal but it is nice and heavy. Tone and sustain have improved greatly.

Prima kwaliteit/prijs verhouding. Kleur van het metaal vind ik iets te shiney maar vooralsnog ziet er goed uit en klinkt stukken beter dan dat half zinken standaard blokje wat bijv. in een squier zit. Dit past perfect in mijn sx vintage strat. Goede upgrade.
