The Istanbul Legend Dry Crash 18" is a crash cymbal made of high-quality B20 bronze in a brilliant finish and inspires with an unusual lathing pattern. Especially flat ("Shallow lathing") a very fine surface is created. The result is a modern and dry sound with a dark base note. The hammered top additionally shortens the sustain and contributes to the generally dry sound. This crash of Istanbul ennobles the sound of every drum set no matter if in the rehearsal room, in the studio or live on stage.
The complex and modern sound serves almost every musical style, thanks to its dark, dry timbre it is particularly suitable for jazz, fusion and funk.
A special feature of the Legend Dry cymbal series is the way the cymbals are lathed and hammered. Even though the profile and weight are based on the well-known Legend cymbals, the extremely flat lathing process gives the cymbals a unique surface. Together with the hammer marks, which reach up to the top for a dry and modern sound, this creates the Legend Dry Sound, a real unique selling point.
Like all Istanbul Mehmet cymbals, the Legend Dry versions are 100% handmade in Turkey. Old tradition meets modern and innovative approaches to achieve the best results. The classic B20 alloy, which is used as standard in most professional cymbal series, is used.
