For the construction of the PRS Custom 24 Charcoal Burst the guitar builders around Paul Reed Smith use only selected woods, which lead to a perfect sound experience. Carefully selected mahogany is used for the body, while the solid 10-top maple top is framed by the PRS typical Natural binding, in which the edges of the top are not stained. The glued maple neck offers the perfect balance between rich grip and smooth playability with the well-formed " Pattern Thin " profile. On the maple fingerboard, traditional Bird inlays also provide the best orientation between the 24 frets.
