The seven drum shells are made of Maple and equipped with high quality shell hardware like the Star Mount, the Classic T-Badge and triple flanged hoops. Due to the thin wall thickness, the Tama Superstar Classic drums produce a warm and assertive sound that remains stable and balanced thanks to the accurate 45° shell burr and Tama Power Craft II heads tuning.

The shells consist of eight layers with 7 mm thickness for the bass drum and six layers with 5 mm thickness for toms / snare. Only the finest maple is used, the classic in drum construction.
