Microphone for direct pickup of Tom & Snare

The Earthworks DM20 DrumMic is a precise cardioid condenser microphone for direct pickup of toms and snare drums in live or studio applications. The DM20 responds particularly transparently and quickly, so that extreme impulses can be reproduced just as easily as subtle nuances and dynamically quiet passages. Even the loudest drummer will not be able to override the DM20 DrumMic with its maximum sound pressure level of 150 dB SPL;

The DM20 comes with an RM1 RimMount, which allows the microphone to be installed directly on the tension tire of a snare or a tom: A separate microphone stand is therefore not required.

Features of the Earthwork DM20:

Frequency response from 50 Hz to 20 kHz for extremely detailed and dynamic decay
Ultra-fast pulse playback for accurate imaging of the attack phase
The membrane's shorter settling times allow subtle nuances to be reproduced precisely even after noisy accents
The almost perfect cardioid characteristic ensures a homogeneous image over the entire frequency range
32 dB attenuation of rear sources prevents crosstalk in live and studio applications
High dynamic range reserves with high feedback resistance
With a level stability of up to 150 dB SPL, the microphone operates distortion-free even at maximum velocity.
Easy alignment by means of a gooseneck with rectangular microphone head
The housing of the microphone head protects the microphone capsule and even resists direct blows with the drum stick
The stiff, short gooseneck holds the position even with powerful play.
Thanks to its solid stainless steel construction, it meets all requirements in touring operations
