The PP-3 from Gewa is a pleasantly playable stage piano in a valuable black matte finish. The German-made instrument features a weighted "Smart Touch" keyboard with hammer action, which is velocity sensitive and provides an excellent playing feel. The digital sound generation holds a total of 15 different sounds, the piano samples are based on the popular Steinway D-274 concert grand piano. Thanks to the 256 voices, the PP-3 is fully polyphonic playable. The 2-way stereo speaker system provides the most realistic sound experience possible, which also benefits the reverb and modulation effects. Since the digital piano also communicates via Bluetooth, two-way exchange of audio and MIDI signals is no problem. Thus, it can wirelessly transfer the audio signal to the home theater system or play from the computer with appropriate music software. The included music holder is simply plugged in and can be removed again at will. The connections do not raise any questions. With the headphone output, it is possible to play and practice undisturbed at any time of day. The MIDI connection is made via USB. Two pedal inputs for Sustain and expression round out the control options. Stereo outputs connect the instrument to a mixing console, audio interface or home stereo system. The stereo input is intended for connecting a smartphone or CD player and integrating the music from it into the exercises.

More functions via app

Thanks to the Piano Remote App, many additional functions of the PP-3 are accessible and adjustable in detail in a comfortable way. In addition to the selection and editing of sounds and effect settings, the app provides access to an extensively adjustable metronome function and the constantly expanded"Lessons"function, which offers a number of lessons, especially for those who still want to practice. In addition, there is a"virtual piano technician" with which you can make adjustments to parameters such as string resonance, pedal resonance, hammer head, half pedal, Una Corda, Attack and tuning parameters.
